Vintage Roots is a well-established wine retailer in the United Kingdom. With email being their largest sales avenue but having stagnating organic traffic growth, our task was to drive top level awareness through content creation, and bottom line sales and customer lifetime value through lead nurturing.
The Compete Digital team went crazy on building well-polished wine guides and how-to types of content pieces on the Vintage Roots Blog. We also set up and run split tests for email optins to fuel new email acquisition, and created email autoresponders to take new subscribers from first contact to first sale.
After the first few months of creating content, organic traffic escalated massively, and sales from search have grown over 30% year on year. This growth trend really shows the time it takes for ongoing content production to take effect and start driving targeted visitors.
